Privacy Policy

A short, plain-English summary of what we collect and why.

We try to keep this site simple and to collect as little data as possible. Here's the full picture:

What we don't collect

  • Your puzzle data. Anything you type into the solver runs entirely in your browser. Your guesses, the colored tiles, the candidate list — none of that is sent to a server.
  • Account info. There's no login, so we don't have usernames, passwords, or profile data.

What we do collect

Analytics (Fathom)

We use Fathom Analytics to count visits and understand which pages get used. Fathom is a privacy-first analytics service: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal data, and fully GDPR/CCPA compliant.

Ads (NitroAds)

We display ads served by NitroAds and its partners. Ad networks may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve and measure ads. You can read NitroAds' privacy practices at nitropay.com/privacy.

Feedback

If you send us feedback through the in-app form, your message and your email (if you provide one) are sent to our team via email and internal chat. We use that to reply, fix bugs, and prioritize features — and nothing else.

Local storage

Your solver preferences (strict search, common-words-only, hide plurals, advanced panel state) and your theme choice are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device.

Cookies

We don't set first-party tracking cookies. The only cookies you might see come from the ad network described above.

Children

The site is suitable for all ages, but we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. We don't have the kind of data-collection mechanism that would identify a user as a child — no accounts, no PII — but if you're a parent and have a concern, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date below and note it in the changelog.
